Consumerism simply oils our greed
Media marketing pours fuel on the fire.
On, to the next best thing
On, to make corporate profits swell
On, denuding the earth of her resources.
And we small cogs feel our insignificance
As the corporate tentacles tighten
And country after country gasps for breath.
The machine is ruthless
Spitting out those who don't fit in
Scant regard for their futures.
Isn't it time the disenfranchised acted?
Let's shout louder! Let's band together!
Get creative with local resources
Make local produce, challenge bureaucrats ...
